The St. Quidy Pardon was inaugurated about 20 years ago by the Friends of St Quidy as a means of raising money to renovate the little church. The church has now been renovated, a small shrine constructed with a garden where flowers bloom throughout most of the year. The “Friends” have also purchased the field on which the Pardon dinner & entertainment takes place.

The Pardon is held each year in August on the Sunday after Assumption Day and consists of a church service (mass), followed by a procession through the village to the field where a five course lunch for about 1,000 people is held followed by traditional Breton music & dancing, finishing at about midnight. During the whole of the day a boule competition and games are held.
